How landlords are standardising palettes across a portfolio
One base white, one trim colour, two accents — and a shared schedule every contractor works from. The maths on turnover repaints.
The operators we talked to have all landed in a similar place: a deliberately small standard palette applied across every unit, documented once, and handed to whichever contractor picks up the job.
The benefit is not just aesthetic consistency. A fixed palette means bulk purchasing, no colour-matching delays between tenancies, and touch-ups instead of full repaints because the wall colour is always on file.
We look at three portfolios of different sizes and the schedule each one uses.
